August 25-September 03,2017: India participated in World Championship at Hamburg, Germany and ended the campaign with a Bronze Medal.

Gaurav Bidhuri brought home India’s lone medal from the 2017 AIBA Men’s World Boxing Championships as he took the bronze in his bantamweight (56kg) category. The achievement also made Bidhuri just the fourth Indian men’s pugilist to win a World Championships bronze, joining the likes of Vijender Singh, Vikas Krishan and Shiva Thapa.
