The BFI sent 10 boxers to a Test event in Jakarta ahead of the 2018 Asian Games to get some good competition and get them acclimatized to the conditions. India had a successful outing there with each of the boxers collecting medals which included 5 gold delivered by Shyam Kumar (49kg), Salman Anwar Shaikh (52kg), Manish Kaushik (60kg), Ashish (64kg) from the men and Pavitra (60kg) from the women.
