President Cup from 4th – 11th June, 2018 Kazakhstan
India’s young brigade made up the team sent to the President’s Cup in Kazakhstan but it was the 22-year-old Lalbiakkima Nutlai (49kg) who stole the show with a remarkable debut in international tournaments. He stunned the reigning Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov en route to a bronze medal. India got two more bronze medals through Sachin Siwach (52kg) and Priyanka (60kg).
The tournament gave a massive opportunity to India’s rising stars to show their talents. Needless to say they grabbed this chance with both hands.
