Elite Men’s Boxing Team Selected To Participate In The Training Camp And 69th International Boxing Tournament “Strandja” At Sofia, Bulgaria From 11-26 February,2018
5 men and 6 women boxers contributed to recording India’s best-ever haul at Europe’s oldest amateur boxing event – the Strandja Cup – in its 69th edition. Overall, the contingent clinched two gold, three silver and six bronze medals.
While Amit Panghal warmed up in the best way possible for the Asian Games with a 49kg gold at this tournament, Vikas Krishan, who claimed a gold medal in 75kg, was adjudged the Best Boxer of the event – a first for an Indian.
