Mandeep Jangra (69kg) claimed a gold medal as India finished a good campaign at the Ulaanbaatar Cup 2018 with a rich haul of one gold, four silver and four bronze medals. With quite a few of Asia’s best boxers present at this event, this served as yet another preparatory tournament as the Indian contingent kept getting ready for the Asian Games 2018.
Among the silver medallists were top women pugilists, Sonia Lather (57kg) and Lovlina Borgohain (69kg) along with Himanshu Sharma (49kg) and Etash Khan (56kg) from the men. The bronze went to Shiva Thapa (60kg), Ashish (64kg), Vanhlimpuia (75kg) and Bina Devi Koijam (48Kg).
