Anamika had a strong passion for boxing and was introduced to the sport by her uncle. Although a softball player at the school level, it hasn’t been a tough transformation for the Haryana girl. Physical training and hard work being only second nature to Anamika, she grasped the craft of boxing with comfortable ease.

Establishing herself as a natural in the contact sport, she won her first medal in the 2016 Rural Games. But her rise to glory was when she won silver at the Asian Championships earlier in 2018 in Bangkok. National gold winner in 2018, Anamika has tasted success in the short stint since her foray.

The tournaments have exposed her to the best of fighters where she has emerged a winner. A self-believer and a self-rectifier, the young pugilist has her eyes set on the World Championship medal as she trains more than ever to achieve her dream.
