Gaurav Solanki, Ashish Kumar open India’s challenge at Tokyo Olympic Qualifiers

Commonwealth Games gold medallist Gaurav Solanki (57kg) and Asian Championships silver medallist Ashish Kumar (75kg) will open India’s challenge as the Asian/Oceanian Olympic Qualifiers gets underway in Amman, Jordan from March 3.

Gaurav Solanki (57kg) will face Kyrgyzstan’s national boxing champion Akylbek Esenbek Uulu in his first-round bout while Ashish Kumar (75kg) will take on Chinese Taipei’s Kan Chia-Wei.

Each of them needs three wins in their quest for a Tokyo berth.
