Tamanna (48kg)

Boxing runs in the family of Tamanna and the sport came naturally to her. Inspired by her uncle, 2008 Olympic bronze medallist Vijender Singh and her cousin, former world junior and youth champion Sakshi, Tamanna embraced the sport in 2014.

It didn’t take the Haryana girl long to show her prowess. With a host of medals from both the national and the international circuit, the youngster has proved herself to be one of the brightest prospects for India. In a stellar 2019 she not only captured the Sub Junior Nationals gold but also stamped her class internationally with gold medals from Black Forest Cup, Junior Nations Cup and Boxem International.
